Working Thesis Title: Reducing Juror Bias from Pretrial Publicity Using Mindfulness Meditation

I am currently in the Forensic Psychology master’s program, and hold a BA from John Jay majoring in forensic psychology with a minor in law. My research interests include pretrial publicity bias in jurors and investigating new remedies to reduce this bias. I am currently working on my thesis with Dr. Stone which will examine if mindfulness meditation can reduce juror bias in negative pretrial publicity cases. Other research interests include how individual deficits in attention affect juror memory for trial facts and ways to remedy such deficits.
